Integração de Geração eólica na Rede Elétrica. Requisitos Técnicos de Conexão
Brazil, 6th world economy and one of the most promising countries as far as onshore wind energy is concerned, according to Global WindEnergy Council.
The Spanish company EnergytoQuality, member of Measnet, will take part in the congress Integração de Geração eólica na Rede Elétrica. Requisitos Técnicos de Conexão whose aim is to promote the integration of wind generation in the Brazilian electric system focusing on the technical requirements for its connection to the grid.
This congress, organized by CIGRÉ-Brasilien in collaboration with the Brazilian grid operator ONS and the energy generation and transmission company Electrobras Furnas, will take place on 4th and 5th December 2012 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The first session Tecnologias Atuais de Geração Eólica e Requisitos Técnicos para Conexão will deal with the problems of connecting wind energy to the grid and the current solutions to comply with the requirements imposed by the TSO. In this session, EnergytoQuality will present its experience in wind turbine testing facing voltage dips and pursuant different international norms, stressing the importance of accredited tests. EnergytoQuaility will share the board with the main wind turbine manufactures (Alstom, GE, Enercon&Vestas).
The second day of the congress, ONW and Electrobras will present their experiences in Brazil on wind energy within the session Requisitos de Conexão de Eólicas Experiências e Desenvolvimentos Brasileiros. In this session, the requirements imposed for the wind energy connection to the grid will be exposed, as well as harmonics study models, harmonics measurements, filters, etc. and will end with a presentation about the experiences of wind integration in the grid by the part of the distributor.
