The Colombian Ministry of Mines and Energy [1] has published a resolution determining a new auction of Non-Conventional Renewable Energy Sources (NCREF) to take place in October.
The value of the target energy demand will be disclosed after bids are received from buyers and sellers. The supply period for the long-term energy contracts to be awarded in the auction will be fifteen years.
The start date of the electricity supply obligations contained in the contracts to be awarded in the auction will be 1 December 2022.
A deadline for consultations, observations and proposals has been enacted until 4 May. You can consult the resolution here [2].
With the objective approved in the 2018-2022 Development Plan of having an energy matrix committed to reducing carbon emissions, wholesale energy traders will be obliged to source between 8 and 10% of their energy purchases from FNCER.
