Barlovento will attend the wind industry meeting [1] to be held from the 25th to the 27th July in Natal, in the Northeast of the country, where two thirds of the Brazilian wind sector operations are located.
This event will join the main players of the market, authorities and specialists of the electric sector at a point in which wind market is being consolidated in the country. The wind market is growing bigger since the beginning of the industry in Leilao in 2009.
Brazil has reached an installed power of 13 GW, almost the same as Itaipu hydroelectric plant (14 GW) and the 8th place in the world energy production ranking, surpassing developed countries such as Italy and Canada. Only 5 years ago, Brazil occupied the 15th place in the ranking, so this is a huge achievement for the wind industry of the country.
