In response to the growing interest for the verification of the compliance of the performance of wind turbines against voltage dips (LVRT tests) pursuant the Indian grid code (Central Electricity Authority (Technical Standards for Connectivity to the Grid) Regulations, 2007 on 21/02/2007 & amendment of these regulations notified on 15/10/2013 & Draft second amendment in CEA (Technical Standards for Connectivity to the Grid) Regulations, 2007 as amendment on 31/12/2016), Barlovento, through its branch Energy to Quality, has obtain this accreditation for LVRT test from ENAC [1] (National Accreditation Entity) to be added to our list of certified grid codes.
Barlovento, pioneer company in carrying out LVRT tests in wind turbines, has several mobile laboratories able to test machines up to 20 MW unit power (depending on the voltage level to which they are connected) and register the response of the machine against voltage dips with variable duration and as deep as voltage level 0%, optimizing the tests time to reduce the machine halt times.
