Barlovento’s laboratory has been accredited within the new certification IECRE System. It is a new system developed by IEC for the certification in regards with the standards related to devices used in applications of Renewable Energies, which will replace the certification system used so far.

The aim of the IECRE System is to facilitate international trade in equipment and services for use in Renewable Energy Sectors while maintaining the required level of safety

At the end of the year 2016, when Barlovento’s testing laboratory gained this accreditation, this category only had three members: Deutsche WindGuard Consulting GmbH, Deutsche WindGuard Wind Tunnerl GmbH and our laboratory. Later on, other laboratories had joined this category.

And as certifying bodies, among others, DEWI-OCC Offshore and Certification Centre GmbH, Germanische Lloyd Industrial Services GmbH and TÜV NORD CERT GmbH belong within this category. The up-dated list can be found here.
